Kinematics
Kinematics is all about motion. Motion is a change in position relative to a frame of reference
Vocabulary
scalar vs vector distance vs displacement speed vs velocity frame of reference acceleration
Vectors
Vectors can be manipulated in two ways, by trigonometry or on a Cartesian coordinate system
The four kinemetic equations
Forces
The four fundamental forces
Gravity, electromagnetic, strong nuclear, weak nuclear
Newtons Laws
- A body in motion stays in motion and a body at rest stays at rest, unless acted on by an outside force
- $\overrightarrow{F}=m\overrightarrow{a}$
- For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Or to be more precise, when one body exerts a force of $\overrightarrow{F}$ on a second body, the second body exerts a force of $-\overrightarrow{F}$ on the first body. - Newtons laws, friction, gravitation
Energy
- work, force, conservation of energy - heat
Waves and Sound
Electricity and Magnetism
